24 Month Warranty

The 24 Month Warranty applies to our 2018 Collection prams; JIVE² Platinum, JIVE², and METRO², ordered from 1st November 2017.

From the day your Redsbaby pram is dispatched from the Redsbaby warehouse in Sydney, Australia, you will enjoy the confidence of a 24 Month Warranty. While all our products have been designed to withstand the ins and outs of daily life with your growing family, we care about our customers, and so provide you with a 24 Month Warranty. When your warranty expires, we’re also there to support you in every way we can with our Australia-wide repair network and spare parts.

The 24 Month Warranty starts from the date your product(s) are dispatched from our warehouse in Sydney, Australia. Please note that for a claim to be valid, it must be made within the claims period and must be made by the original purchaser (warranties are non-transferable).

 Your Warranty includes all manufacturing defects with regards to:

  • Chassis, frame, wheels and adaptors;
  • 5-point harness buckle, padding, strapping and assembly; and
  • All soft good seams, bindings and zippers.


Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement, or refund, for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired, or replaced, if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

To the extent permitted by law, the following are not covered by Warranty:

  • failure or defects resulting from improper care or use;
  • normal wear and tear including scratches to the pram frame;
  • scuffs and tears to leatherette handles/bumpers (prams);
  • products purchased second-hand or from an unauthorised distributor;
  • fading or discolouration of fabrics and materials due to cleaning and/or excessive sun exposure;
  • stains, discolouration or damage to leatherette, caused by the use of cleaning or sanitiser products containing alcohol;
  • faulty or incorrect assembly of the products by the customer;
  • installation of a part or accessory not compatible with the product and/or not manufactured by Redsbaby;
  • any modification or alteration not conducted or authorised by Redsbaby;
  • corrosion or rust on the wheels and chassis due to extreme environmental conditions, including high humidity, salt spray, ice or snow or due to insufficient maintenance (prams);
  • accidental or intentional damage, abuse or neglect;
  • damage to handle bar grips or fabrics as a result of normal handling and daily use (prams);
  • airline/transport damage: check your Redsbaby product carefully after it has been handled by the airline (or other transporters) and if required, submit your claim directly to your travel insurer/ airline;
  • consumer dissatisfaction with the product in terms of disliking the fit, weight, functionality, colour or style (outside of the 30 Day Trial period);
  • if the serial number has been damaged or removed; and
  • when the product has not been used for normal use and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

How to make a warranty claim

To make a warranty claim, please send an email to warranty@redsbaby.com.au with the following information. The more detailed you are with your description of the defect, the more quickly we will be able to repair or replace your product.

  • a description of the warranty defect and photographs;
  • your contact details;
  • attached invoice with order number; and
  • product batch number.


We will respond to your warranty claim within seven (7) business days and depending on the nature of the warranty claim, arrange collection of the product from your nominated address. Collection will take place on a business day (i.e. not a public holiday or weekend within your state or territory) between 8am and 5.30pm. Please take care to repack the product in secure and stable packaging to avoid any damage occurring in the returns transit. We do not take responsibility for any damage that occurs in transit to and from our pram repairer.

Once our repairer has received the product they will inspect and confirm the reported defect. We will then contact you with further information surrounding the repair such as the estimated turnaround time.

For smaller warranty claims we may be able to send you a replacement part free of charge (e.g. bumper bar, wheel, brake cable) which will allow you to get back out and about quicker. In these instances, Redsbaby will cover the cost of shipping spare parts domestically within Australia. Please note that if you require warranty parts to be shipped internationally within the warranty claim period, Redsbaby will provide you with replacement parts free of charge, however the customer will be required to cover the cost on international shipping. In this instance, we will connect you to arrange payment. 

 

12 Month Warranty

The 12 Month Warranty applies to 2017 models of JIVE, METRO and PALOMA. Your 12 Month Warranty commences from the date your order is dispatched from the Redsbaby warehouse in Sydney, Australia.
