Pre-Order is when you buy an item before it is available for immediate shipping. An item on Pre-Order will display the estimated shipping date on the product page, underneath the Pre-Order Now button. Example:

As parents ourselves, we know this is an exciting time, and so between the time of placing your order and your items being shipped from our Sydney warehouse, we will email you to keep in touch and share a progress update on your order. When you buy an item that is on Pre-Order, the item is not available for immediate shipping and will be shipped in the future, according to the estimated shipping date that is outlined on the product page.
